It seems my 101st blog post should be something Depeche Mode related (some people will get that, others won't), but instead my 101st post is going to a very important and much needed cause - helping the people of Haiti after the recent earthquakes that have brought so much devastation. There are some amazing artists - in both the fields of art and music - doing great things to raise money to help those in need.
I'm fortunate to be a part of the art side of things. There is a group on Zazzle, brought together by the wonderful artist JamieCreates, called Hearts4Haiti. It is a group of designers who have joined together, creating designs to be sold on stickers - to be given out as Valentine's, used for sealing envelopes, to share with friends, or for use in whatever manner you wish. The goal is to raise awareness and money - 100% of the proceeds will be given to Hope For Haiti to help in the relief efforts in Haiti.
There are so many fabulous designs available. Here are just a few:
Please visit the Hearts4Haiti shop and take a look at all of the beautiful creations by the dedicated group of artists.
*Another group I want to bring to everyone's attention is Music For Relief - a non-profit organization founded by Linkin Park and dedicated to disaster relief. With songs by Linkin Park, Kenna w/ Lupe Fiasco, Alanis Morrisette, The All-American Rejects, Dave Matthews Band, and more, you can download some amazing songs, or the album itself and also donate money to help the people of Haiti.
I encourage you to visit both Hearts4Haiti and Music For Relief - and please consider helping by purchasing some stickers and/or downloading some great music. And please, feel free to share this blog and these links with your family and friends - spread the word so we can get as much help for the people of Haiti as possible.
Thank you for reading from Rdwnggrl's World.
